Isabel Walker (Kate Hudson), young American girl, comes from California to Paris to visit her pregnant sister, Roxeanne de Persand ( Naomi Watts), and help her with her pregnancy. But Isabel comes in very bad time because her sister's husband Charles-Henri de Persand (Melvil Poupaud) just left her and it seems that divorce is on it's way. In the meantime, Isabel meets a charming, middle-aged and married French professor who happens to be related to Charles-Henri. The things get more complicated when husband of Charles-Henri's lover gets involved. On top of everything there is a painting that Roxeanne owns, worth millions of dollars.
