In the competitive world of surfing, Anne Marie (Kate Bosworth) is determined to be one of the top surfers out there. With the help of her best friends, Eden (Michelle Rodriguez) and Lena (Sanoe Lake), and her sister Penny (Mika Boorem) who looks up to her, she trains with all her energy for the upcoming Pipe Masters competition. She is so close to attaining her dream, but when the popular quarterback of a football team, Matt (Matthew Davis) comes into town to test the waters, Anne Marie finds it all too difficult to focus on just giving him the lessons on surfing basics. With the competition just a few days away, will she be able to balance two of her heart’s desires and ride the wave of success in the end?
