Remake of the French movie 'La Femme Infidele", 'Unfaithful" retraces the simply unstoppable and passionate love affair between soccer mom Connie Sumner (Diane Lane) and beautiful stranger Paul Martel (Olivier Martinez). After a chance encounter under the rain one day, Connie and Paul soon become very physical and their passion soon becomes addiction. Connie quickly loses track of reality and the affair becomes obsessional. When she discovers that her lover is not exactly what it seems, she actually loses herself yet a little more. The husband, Ed Sumner (Richard Gere) eventually finds out about the affair and things get out of hand. The torrid and highly animal affair takes then a dramatic turn.
