Mia Thermopolis (Anne Hathaway) has graduated college and is ready to take on her duties as Princess of Genovia. When she reaches Genovia though, she learns that she will be succeeding her grandmother (Julie Andrews) as Queen sooner than expected. Other surprises are in store for her when she learns that there is a law that says an unmarried woman cannot be Queen so she must find a man and get married in 30 days. Andrew Jacoby (Callum Blue) is a perfect candidate for her husband, however she just doesn't love him. She is instantly attracted to Nicholas Devereaux (Chris Pine), but the attraction is denied when she discovers that he is the one who will rule Genovia if she doesn't get married soon enough. Is there anyway that she can be Queen and marry someone she loves?
