Aileen (Charlize Theron) is a woman with a horrible past and not a lot of luck in her life. She is a prostitute who has been abused and victimized repeatedly throughout her life. Eventually, she snaps and begins killing her clients. Meanwhile, she becomes involved in a relationship with a woman named Selby (Christina Ricci), and she must hide the murders from her while staying under the radar of the law. This movie is based on a true story, and follows Aileen from before her first killing all the way up to her real-life trial.
