Two Orange County brothers couldn't be more different. Shaun (Colin Hanks) is a good student and aspiring writer who hopes to attend Stanford University when he graduates high school. Lance (Jack Black) is a pot-smoking couch potato who's future aspirations has more to do with getting high than getting a college degree. When Shaun's guidance counselor mistakenly sends out the wrong application to Stanford, Shaun is denied acceptance to the esteemed school. To ensure his enrollment come Fall, Shaun seeks the help of his slacker brother Lance and flighty girlfriend Ashley (Schuyler Fisk) to convince the Dean to allow him to attend.
